Before you start
- You must be a business owner or administrator.
- Create at least one Voucher Item before configuring a Rule — the Rule must link to an item.
- Decide what customer action qualifies for a stamp (per drink, per rand spent, or prepaid).

Steps
Open Rules
Go to Administration → Config → Rules in the left menu. This page shows all three rule types on one screen.
Understand the three rule types
Drinks Rule (Unit) — one stamp per qualifying drink. Amount Spent Rule (Value) — one stamp per rand amount spent. Prepaid Rule — for advance-purchase packages. Most coffee shops start with the Drinks Rule only.
Configure the Drinks Rule
Enable the rule, then set the values: Heading is the card title customers see (like Regular Coffee). Loyalty Card Heading is the stamp card name (like Coffee Card). Value is how many drinks per stamp (usually 1). Reward Value is stamps earned per purchase (usually 1). Number required is how many stamps to qualify. Item is the Voucher Item they receive.
Configure the Amount Spent Rule
Same structure as Drinks, but Value is the rand amount per stamp (like R100). The sentence reads: For every R100 you spend, get 1 Stamp. Collect 10 stamps, get the reward.
Link the Rule to a Voucher Item
The Item dropdown on each rule card lists your Voucher Items. Select the reward customers will receive when they qualify. A Rule without a Voucher Item has nothing to give.
Enable or disable each rule
Use the Enable/Disabled toggle on each rule card. Disabled rules do not award stamps or generate vouchers. New registrations get the Drinks Rule enabled by default.
Success check
- At least one rule is enabled.
- The rule links to an existing Voucher Item.
- The sentence builder reads correctly and matches your offer.
- A test customer can earn a stamp and see progress towards the linked Voucher Item.
Common mistakes
- Enabling a rule but not selecting a Voucher Item — customers collect stamps but never earn a reward.
- Setting Number required too high — customers lose interest before qualifying.
- Forgetting that Drinks and Amount rules use different earning logic — choose the one that matches your business.
- Editing a rule without testing the full award-to-redeem cycle afterward.
